The story of the exciting and faithful mission in East Africa of an evangelist and lion-hunter, now almost legendary in Africa. The Simonsons entered Africa at the height of the Mau Mau rebellion and through the next 40 years touched the lives of thousands of Africans.

Simonson built more than 2500 schoolrooms to rescue multitudes of African children from smoky village huts and flies. He did it with millions of dollars he personally raised as a charismatic barnstormer.

The bond between Simonson and the Maasai people became unbreakable after he sat alone in the night to kill a rogue lion which had been terrorizing a village. The Maasai made him an elder of the tribe, naming him "the great one".

A grant from Lutheran brotherhood allows a percentage of net profits to go to the Maasae Girls' School.
